ÖBB GroupHeadquarters

HABAU built the new ÖBB Group headquarters just a stone’s throw from Vienna's new central station. The complex comprises three buildings having a total area of 3,400 square metres. Rising 88 metres into the air, the headquarters boasts 24 storeys, not including lower levels. The major build was realised in only 28 months.

The Ensemble

HABAU and ÖSTU-STETTIN joined forces to build a modern residential oasis in Vienna's third district. 800 flats were built within an area of 31,000 square metres at Erdberger Lände 36-38, located directly on the Danube Canal. The build impresses with modern aesthetics, a pedestrianised layout complete with a public park. This is how contemporary urban planning should be.

Viertel Zwei

The groundbreaking Viertel Zwei project is exceeding modern living and working standards and combines this with moments of tranquillity thanks to its location next to Vienna’s Prater public park together with the site’s own expansive green spaces. It was the first project in Austria to be awarded the ÖGNI Platinum Certificate for its sustainable design. The total investment volume amounts to 750 million euros.

Rinterzelt / RinterNEU MA 48

For a long time, the tent-like MA 48 waste treatment plant in Vienna's Donaustadt was a notable construction. The 68-metre-high building was spectacularly demolished in autumn 2019, and HABAU was commissioned with its destruction. The three-phase project also includes the construction of numerous new state-of-the-art on-site company buildings. The contract volume is approx. 46 million euros.
