Havelland Motorway – A10/A24

With a volume of 1.4 billion euros, the expansion of the A10 and the general renovation of the A24 near Berlin is our largest civil engineering project. It includes expanding the motorway to six lanes, repairing large sections of road, demolishing and constructing bridges, nine interchanges, five parking and toilet facilities, noise barriers and much more.

West Rosenheim bypass

11.5 kilometres of bypass and a 670-metre-long bridge: The HABAU GROUP companies HABAU and MCE were commissioned by the Rosenheim State Building Authority to deliver this sizeable and demanding project. An innovative solution involving supporting piles anchored 45 metres deep into the ground was called for due to the special ground composition of the clay sediment in the lake.

Vienna Schwechat airport runway 11/29

With flight operations underway, HELD & FRANCKE succeeded in renovating runway 11/29 in only six weeks. More than 210,000 square metres of surface area were given a complete facelift. This entailed milling 95,000 tonnes of asphalt and applying a new layer. Every night, 200 people and 150 pieces of equipment were out working, with almost twice that number at weekends.

U4 Pilgramgasse station

Not much room, not much time and ample consideration for monument protection: The renovation of the U4 Pilgramgasse station in Vienna was a high-precision undertaking. While works were underway, we took great care to manage traffic effectively, allowing us to ensure everything ran according to plan. No less than 2,910 m DN 120 bored piles, 482,850 kg of reinforcement materials and 2,600 m3 of concrete were installed
